On June 15, 2026, Lebanese journalist Hadi Hoteit captured the moment an Israeli drone strike targeted him while he was reporting near the Arnoun-Yohmor-Kfartebnit roundabout in southern Lebanon.
Hoteit stated he was clearly identifiable as a member of the press, wearing a vest and helmet marked “PRESS,” driving a vehicle bearing press signage, and carrying visible filming equipment, including cameras and a microphone displaying the Press TV logo.
According to Hoteit, he traveled to the area after receiving reports that the Lebanese Army had blocked a nearby road and sought to verify the information. After exiting his vehicle and beginning to film, Israeli drones struck the location where he was standing in an open area.
He recounted that he remained wounded at the scene for approximately 15 to 20 after sustaining six shrapnel injuries before two men were able to reach and evacuate him.
