AS FAR have officially written to CAF to protest the appointment of referee Jean-Jacques Ngambo Ndala for their CAF Champions League final first leg against Mamelodi Sundowns on May 17.
Key concerns:
– Ndala’s controversial performance in the AFCON final between Morocco and Senegal
– His exclusion from the 2026 FIFA World Cup referees list
– Lack of balance in officiating appointments (same-nationality referees for first leg vs mixed team for second leg)
The club is calling for fairness, neutrality, and equal conditions in the final.
