The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) is set to shut the Nairobi‑bound stretch of Mombasa Road between Airtel Complex and General Motors from 9 pm Saturday, June 20 to 10 am Sunday, June 21, 2026 to install beams for the new Airtel Footbridge.
The closure, stretching between Airtel Complex and General Motors, will run from 9 pm Saturday, June 20 to 10 am Sunday, June 21, 2026.
KeNHA says traffic marshals and police will be deployed to guide motorists, urging drivers to plan ahead and exercise caution.
This comes barely a week after the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) announced partial night closures on Ngong Road and Naivasha Road near Junction Mall, where contractors are completing asphalt works for the viaduct project.
