The development will transform the old Kaunda Stadium ground into a modern sports hub for Tanzanians and African football fans.

1. Project Discussed at EXCOM Meeting
The project was a main agenda item during the recent EXCOM meeting in Zanzibar, where club officials and stakeholders discussed timelines and next steps.
2. Feasibility Studies and Government Support
Feasibility studies revealed additional land was required. The Tanzanian Government stepped in to provide extended land for the stadium, a move critical to the project.
3. Presidential Support and Land Title
With backing from President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Yanga SC secured an extended land title deed handed over on Siku ya Wananchi in front of over 60,000 fans at the national stadium.
4. Expressions of Interest (EOI)
An official EOI process attracted multiple proposals in just 14 days, showing high interest in the project.
5. GSM Tanzania Selected
After evaluation, GSM Tanzania was selected as the strategic partner to fund and execute the stadium project, providing technical expertise and financial support.
6. Joint Meeting to Finalize Project Details
A joint meeting between Yanga SC and GSM Tanzania will finalize legal, technical, and business frameworks for the project, setting clear timelines and responsibilities.
7. Special Club Committee Formed
A special committee within the club, including legal and commercial advisors, will oversee the execution of the stadium project professionally.
