1. You need to accept people as they are or not accept them at all. Because changing them is almost impossible. Seriously. If you try to remodel them and make them look the way you want them to, you will only have to wish yourself good luck. Because this idea is doomed to fail.
2. Your definition of happiness differs from that of other people. What works for you doesn’t necessarily work for them. You’re not a judge to judge the life decisions made by friends. As it says in a well-known biblical postulate: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.”
3. You must be able to stand up for yourself. The world is full of villains who are always eager to gain dominance over you. No one can afford to be defenseless. You will have to learn to be stubborn and persistent (within reason, of course) to get what you want.
4. Today they adore you, but tomorrow they don’t. A person is an ever-changing being. We may go to sleep in love, but wake up feeling betrayed. Sometimes a breakup may mean nothing to you, while other times it can be a full-blown tragedy. Regardless, falling into depression after a breakup because of feeling unattractive and searching for your flaws is a waste of time. You will have many more chances to fall in love again! The only obstacle in your way is your own fear of new relationships.
5. You are not obligated to be close with all members of your family. If any communication with your family members is toxic and negatively impacts your life, it is in your best interest to establish certain boundaries regarding such interactions as soon as possible.
6. If you buy a piece of clothing that doesn’t fit you but plan to use it as motivation to lose weight, you will never end up wearing it.
7. Constant guilt and feelings of remorse over committing wrongdoing only prove once again that you will do it again and again.
8. Stop envying people who are more successful than you at your age. Redirect this energy towards achieving your own goals.
9. Self-worth is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. But acquiring it is much harder.
10. If you find yourself constantly losing jobs, friends, important relationships, and connections, it may be time to acknowledge that you are the root of all these problems.
11. You don’t owe anyone anything. If you think the opposite, you will constantly be unhappy and dissatisfied with life.
12. To achieve something in this life, it is necessary to work hard and even hustle. If you want to know the answer to the question “Why don’t I have what I want,” you should examine your work habits and work style.
13. Moving to another city does not save from all misfortunes. At least in most cases.
14. Sometimes speaking nonsense or stretching the truth a little bit is normal.
15. “He who doesn’t take risks, doesn’t drink champagne!” If you’ve realized that your job has become unbearable, simply quit. Let your inner self be free!
16. Don’t drink alcohol on an empty stomach. Unless you want to look extremely foolish, of course…
17. There is no such concept as deriving pleasure from the feeling of guilt. Many people, without realizing it, enjoy torturing themselves and suffering unnecessarily. This is unhealthy.
18. Sometimes it’s better to do something first, you can always apologize later.
19. One should know when to stop in time. For example, leaving a party at the right time. Because usually nothing good happens after 4 AM. Everyone knows the feeling of wanting to continue having fun more and more. Learn to leave at the peak. If you stay too long, all the fun will go down the drain.
