
Murtaza Ally Mangungu is a Tanzanian politician and sports administrator who once served as the Member of Parliament for the Kilwa North constituency and the Chairman of Simba Sports Club, one of the most successful football clubs in Tanzania and East Africa.
Early Life and Political Career
Murtaza Ally Mangungu was born on 29 September 1959. He is a long-standing member of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Tanzania’s ruling political party.
He was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Kilwa North in November 2010, succeeding Samson Mpanda. Since then, he represented the constituency in the National Assembly, maintaining a strong political presence in the Lindi Region.
